Competition
From a community problem to the world stage
Each year, Enactus teams take on a real problem in a community, build a project to solve it, and compete to show what changed.
-
Step 1
Find a real problem
Early in the school year, the team discovers then researches a need in nearby communities. A project is then started to meet that need.

-
Step 2
Learn the skills
Throughout the project, students engage with advisors, businesses, and community leaders to gain the necessary knowledge to execute their project.

-
Step 3
Make it better
A project is never finished, never perfect. Students continue to improve upon it and increase its impact.

-
Step 4
Practice the pitch
As a project has reached its goals and is sustainable, the team puts together a pitch, a presentation, where they frequently receive feedback on how to better communicate their ideas and their project.

-
Step 5
Compete at nationals
Every spring, teams from across the United States gather to present to business leaders, who judge the merits and impact of each project. Only one team is named the national champion.
-
Step 6
Represent the country
Champions from 32 countries gather in one city to compete for the world title. Only one has what it takes to become the global Enactus champion.
